Bill Chen is a first-year student studying economics and data science in Cornell’s College of Arts & Sciences. Before Cornell, he worked with NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory’s ECOSTRESS team, using data and GIS to study wildfire risk and its effects on neighborhoods and housing. At AI for Cities, he is interested in using digital twins to explore how changes in transportation and environmental conditions affect communities.
“I’m excited to explore how digital twins can help us understand the way cities grow, where development affects neighborhoods, and what those changes mean for the people who live there.”
